Indifference or hope | Indiferencia o esperanza

¿Es realmente fácil distinguir una de otra? ¿Cuál es el límite entre ellas? ¿Son el silencio y la espera una indiferencia? ¿… o es una esperanza? No hay otra forma de saberlo sino el tener una buena claridad de mente, el saber qué hay detrás de lo visible, yendo a una profundidad. Una profundidad al alma humana. La mejor claridad de mente no es esa de la inteligencia, aunque es muy necesaria. La inteligencia es tan sólo el camino. El destino es algo distinto.

Pero, … ¿qué es?

Is it so easy to distinguish one from the other? Where’s the limit between them? Are silence and waiting an indifference? … or is it hope?There’s no other way than having quite a clarity of mind, it’s knowing what’s behind of what can be seen, getting into a sort of deepness. Deepness into human’s soul. The best clarity of mind isn’t that of the intelligence, though it is much needed. Intelligence is just the way. The target is something different.

Las líneas son rectas, tan sólo dependiendo del punto de vista que tengamos, aunque siempre habrá un origen común. De este modo la relatividad de nuestros puntos de vista se pueden volver absolutos, mediante nuestro entendimiento y racionalidad. Si la compasión está presente desde el principio hasta el final, no sólo las curvas se vuelven rectas, y viceversa: habremos ganado una batalla para el alma.
Lines are straight, only depending on the point of view you may have, although there is always a common origin. Being so, the relativity of our points of views can be turned into absolute by our understanding and rationality. If compassion is present from the beginning to the end, not only curves become straight lines and viceversa: we will have won a battle for our soul.

The entrance to a home is usually the first glimpse of the atmosphere inside. It’s after all, about caring for that first impression, that we always remember so much in our experiences, and of course, when we enter a home. A door that gives an impression of warmth, that one that goes deep inside, to the soul, is usually a reflection of good hospitality.

La entrada a una casa suele ser el primer reflejo del ambiente que hay dentro. Se trata al fin y al cabo de cuidar esa primera impresión, de la que tanto nos acordamos en nuestras experiencias, y por supuesto, de cuando entramos en un hogar. Una puerta que refleje calidez, de esa que llega dentro, al alma, suele ser reflejo de una buena hospitalidad.

Soul of the city | Alma de la ciudad

Turistas, viajeros, gente ocasional, gentes del lugar, y gentes de tantas otras partes, … esta plaza es en todo momento un conglomerado lleno de vida, reflejo y símbolo de la ciudad que es Madrid. Basta pasear y observar en esta plaza, para obtener un atisbo del alma de la ciudad.

Al fin y al cabo, eso es lo más bonito de viajar a cualquier sitio: aprender y ver lo que es único y distinto. Especialmente aprender, y llevárnoslo dentro, en nuestra propia alma.

Tourists, travelers, ocasional people, people from the place, and people from so other many places, … this square is at all moments full of life, and a reflection and symbol of the city that is Madrid. With just walking around, and observing life in this square, to get a hint of the soul of the city.

After all, that’s what’s most beautiful of travelling anywhere: learning and seeing what is unique and different. Especially learning from it, and taking it inside us, in our own soul.

In these days of heat, it is very normal to think of thirst, of moisturing our dried mouth, of feeling that fresh water that is symbol of live ….
… but, if we are body, mind and soul, … won’t we have to give water to the three parts?.
I want to add that, today Vicente Ferrer passed away. He has been precisely a man, who has given clearly more "water" to his soul than to mind or body. And that is what he will be known for. For the fruits of his soul.

En estos días de calor, es muy normal pensar en sed, en remojar nuestra reseca boca, sentir ese agua fresca que es símbolo de vida ….
… pero, si somos cuerpo, mente y alma, … ¿no tendríamos que dar de beber a las tres?.
Quiero añadir que hoy ha fallecido Vicente Ferrer. Ha sido precisamente un hombre que ha dado mucha más "agua" a su alma, que a mente o cuerpo. Y por ello se le conocerá. Por los frutos de su alma.

Better with music

It’s not music as such, what makes us understand a shared feeling. It is not the sound itself. It’s as in most cases, we have to look for the source, … for the musician, the composer. It’s them who recreate a glimpse of their world in our minds.

Mejor con música

No es la música como tal, lo que nos hace comprender un sentimiento compartido. No es el sonido en sí mismo. Como muchas veces, debemos buscar en la fuente, … en el músico, en el compositor. Son ellos quienes recrean un atisbo de sus mundos en nuestras mentes.

… y hay música que se queda en el alma.
