Doors, … they always give a hint of what is there behind. Or, … who. Even more with a shell, sign of the Camino. It is not strange to be stopped, rucksack loaded and with a heavy pace, for a nice conversation, a glass of wine or simply water -all goes to the soul when in need- No need to know the other one. That’s the hospitality in the Camino. That’s believing again in Human Being.

Puertas, … siempre dan una pista de lo que hay detrás. O, … de quién. Y más aún con la concha, símbolo del Camino. No es raro que a uno le paren, mochila a la espalda y con andar pesado, para una buena conversación, un vino o simplemente agua -todo va al alma cuando se necesita- No hace falta conocer al otro. Esa es la hospitalidad en el Camino. Es, … reencontrar al Ser Humano.

No es por la relatividad del tiempo por lo que se empieza, sino de la distancia. No se mide en metros, o en km. Sino en minutos, horas, días. Las distancias desaparecen, dejando lugar a la medida del tiempo, … la medida de la vida.

It isn’t time relativity by what one starts, but distance relativity. One doesn’t measure in meters, or in km. but in minutes, hours, days. Distances disappear, leaving place for the measure of time, … the measure of life.

El último descanso

It is the last stop. It is the ending place for pilgrims. It is where all go to. Finally here is the last rest, after a long travel, day by day. Bicycles (or feet) stop leaving horizons behind. And, as these ones, leaning on the wall of the cathedral, pilgrims leave their peace and gratitude inside. As it is inside, where their souls have the last and well deserved rest of their travel. Of this travel for the soul.

See where this picture was takenEsta es la última parada. Es el lugar de finalización para los peregrinos. Es hacia donde todos van. Finalmente es aquí el último descanso, después de un largo viaje, día tras día. Las bicicletas (o pies) ya paran de dejar atrás horizontes. Y, como estas bicicletas, apoyadas en los muros de la catedral, los peregrinos dejan su paz y gratitud en el interior. Y es en el interior, donde sus almas tienen el último y merecido descanso de su viaje. De este viaje para el alma.
